PRESSURE SWELLING TESTS and PRESSURE PULSE TESTS
with ambient and fluid temperature control
These tests are used to evaluate the operational and fatigue strength of a wide variety of components (e.g., automotive components in general, e-mobility: battery enclosures) under real-world pressure loads in the form of pressure cycling. The pressure curve is typically sinusoidal or trapezoidal.
Typical test media include coolant (glycol, mixtures of glycol and water), water, oils, air, or fuel.
To simulate more realistic conditions—or as typically defined in the specifications of manufacturers in the automotive sector—pressure tests can be combined with temperature or climate chambers and fluid temperature control.
